Website changes

Our website has been revamped and simplified. We found that the extensive information that we had on products and information was not being used by our clients so we removed most of it and encourage you all to call us for any queries you might have. It will usually mean we have to get updated availability and pricing for your enquiries anyway. Please don't hesitate to call us or e-mail us from this website or directly at t4t@xtra.co.nz .

A change to our permanent special on toilet rolls

We now have replaced the previous product with a better product. The same specifications but a better quality but there is a slight increase in the price.

EarthCare Bathroom Tissue

These products have been specially created for users that have made a real commitment to environment sustainability. They have been manufactured with the fundamental principles of RE-USE, RE-DUCE, and RECYCLE. EarthCare is a soft, strong and white product. The use of this recycled paper is estimated to save half a million trees annually. Oxygen rather than Chlorine is used to bleach the paper and the water at the mill is recycled and re-used.

Steel Drums for Rubbish Bins

We were asked by a large college if we could supply large bins that could be painted by the students and used as rubbish bins around the school. By the students being responsible for the art design and the painting, they would probably take ownership therefore look after the bins better.

We were able to supply 21 open top steel 200 ltr drums that were recycled but very clean for a reasonable price. We are looking forward to seeing these in their finished state. When we do, we will place photo's on our website for all to see. We can also supply the plastic liners for these drums. 

Swap existing fluorescent tubes

We have had information made available to us regarding the reasons why Schools, Businesses and other Public places should consider replacing all existing fluorescent tubes with the new types now available. A brochure outlining the benefits is available but below is basically what the message is.

Swap existing fluorescent tubes with the Philips Master TL-D Eco for more energy-efficient lighting. A lamp replacement product, targeted at schools and commercial applications, that is good news for the environment and the budget.

The cost of these new tubes is the same as the older ones They have always been ($7.00 each plus GST). This is because they are being subsidised by the Government till October this year. SO...
The decision maker of your establishment has to realise that by replacing all your tubes NOW... You will save enough power within the next 12 months to have completely covered the costs of all the tubes fitted. Then.... every month beyond that, as the cost of the tubes has been already recovered, then the cost savings on the power used is extra money in your budget.

It's a "No Brainer"

SO.... Get rid of all your old tubes NOW and start saving money for other things in your budget.

Catalogue New Look and update

We are updating the catalogue that you can download from our websites front page. We are removing items which have shown to be slow sellers and in some cases, are not now available. We have left most of these withdrawn items on our website and if you still require them, please ask. We may be able to supply some. The prices shown in the catalogue do change so please ask us for a quote if you are not sure.

Getting renewal of authorisation from existing customers

It is some months since the new legislation regarding "Spamming" has come into force and there seems like there is no let up in the amount of Spam hitting my mailbox. Regrettably, this increase is coming from overseas and the new legislation doesn't cover that.

We have made a considerable effort to get our customer base to reauthorise our mail outs from our database but the response has been some what slow. Upon talking to those who haven't reauthorised, it is evident that it's a lack of priority to them or they thought that as they had given verbal authority previously, then all is well. We have also found that some customers have not got the messages sent as the front office of their organisation has taken the initiative and deleted or clicked off the request. The actual people on the coal face who want the newsletters and information are not getting the requests to reauthorise.

We are now looking at a fax process to get to the right people and get them to take action. They will have 3 options.

1/ Use our website to register,

2/ Reply by fax to register,

3/ Ring us on the phone to register,

Faxing out does not come under the "Spamming" legislation so is a legitimate way of getting in front of those correct people.

In all cases we can then verify that they have given authority and will keep the "Monthly Account" activated.
We will follow up with a phone call to those who have not responded after the next fax initiative as we know there will be lots who miss these faxes as well.
In all cases we can also guarantee that any information help for this purpose will not be used for any other purpose and that it will be confidential.

Any new customers that we contact for material distribution will firstly be approached via a Fax media.

New Supplier in Hospitality Products

The hospitality industry is very large and it covers all sorts of clients. We have been able to enlist a large supplier that has access to a very wide range of product.

The range is : Commercial & Foodservice, Crockery, Cutlery, Glassware, Tableware, Buffet equipment & display, Chefware, Knives, Cookware & utensils, Bakery, Barware, Kitchen & foodservice. The mind boggles as to what this supplier can cater for.

Schools will have a need for some of the lines. Contact us for any enquiries and we will endeavour to serve.

Outside Garden Furniture

We are looking for a supplier / manufacturer of things like BBQ tables, outside seats, Plant boxes etc. We have made contact with people on the internet through a Google search but are having problems with finding a good reliable source.

They need to be strong and well made with good quality timber, dressed and with no nails that will catch kids clothes. The size may have to be for 6 - 8 people. They need to also be well braced. They may have to be manufactured in a kitset form for easier transporting via a carrier firm around the country.

There may be someone out there that already builds these as a sideline or part time business. We want to know who you know. Please forward the contact details.
